Road to the vivo 3×3 Crown Begins

The court is set once again as vivo Philippines officially launches the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge Year 4, bringing together aspiring basketball players from across Luzon for another season of fast-paced competition, teamwork, and community pride.

Open to Filipino citizens aged 19 years old and above, the tournament welcomes teams composed of three to four players for both the Men’s and Women’s divisions. From streetball standouts to experienced amateur athletes, participants now have the chance to showcase their skills in one of the country’s growing grassroots basketball events.

As the official smartphone partner of the NBA, vivo continues to strengthen its connection with Filipino basketball culture by creating opportunities that encourage active lifestyles and celebrate the country’s passion for the sport.

According to Liu Lu, Brand Marketing Director of vivo Philippines, basketball remains deeply rooted in Filipino communities and continues to inspire people from all walks of life.

“Basketball has always been more than just a sport in the Philippines. It brings communities together, encourages healthier lifestyles, and gives athletes opportunities to grow and shine,” Liu shared. “Through the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge Year 4, we hope to continue empowering local players and inspiring more Filipinos through sports.”

This year’s competition will travel across four regional qualifying legs before culminating in the grand finals at SM Mall of Asia on July 11 and 12. Each stop will serve as a battleground where teams compete for a coveted spot in the championship round.

The qualifying legs will take place at:
• Market! Market! — May 31
• Ayala Malls Feliz — June 19
• SM City Clark — June 27
• SM City Fairview — July 4

At every regional stop, eight participating teams will be divided into two groups and compete under a single round-robin format. The top-performing squads will then advance to the knockout rounds, with the top four teams earning automatic slots in the grand finals.

More than simply chasing trophies, the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge has evolved into a platform where athletes can represent their communities, build camaraderie, and elevate their love for the game. For many players, local courts become stepping stones toward larger dreams and greater opportunities.

With registration now officially open, vivo invites basketball enthusiasts across Luzon to gather their teammates, prepare their game plans, and take their shot at becoming this year’s vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge champions.
