The Philippine content creation scene welcomes a new innovation as Insta360 officially launches the Luna Ultra, a compact gimbal camera developed in collaboration with Leica. Designed for creators who want professional-quality visuals without carrying bulky equipment, the new device combines advanced imaging technology, intelligent stabilization, and AI-powered features in a sleek and portable package.
The arrival of Luna Ultra signals Insta360’s expansion into the gimbal camera market, offering vloggers, filmmakers, travelers, and digital storytellers a versatile tool capable of capturing cinematic content with ease. By merging Insta360’s expertise in imaging technology with Leica’s legendary optical craftsmanship, the camera aims to deliver exceptional visual performance for both everyday users and professionals.

At the core of Luna Ultra is a sophisticated dual-camera setup featuring a Leica Summicron wide-angle lens paired with a dedicated telephoto lens. The system is powered by dual imaging processors and a cutting-edge 4nm AI chip that enhances image quality through intelligent scene recognition, advanced processing, and optimized performance across various shooting environments.
Equipped with a large 1-inch sensor, Luna Ultra is capable of recording ultra-high-definition 8K videos and capturing detailed still images with impressive color accuracy, dynamic range, and sharpness. For creators who need additional reach, the telephoto system supports up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom, allowing users to shoot distant subjects while maintaining image clarity.

The camera also supports professional-grade features such as Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log recording, Leica color profiles, and 8K video capture at 30 frames per second. These capabilities provide creators with greater flexibility in post-production and color grading while preserving the signature visual quality associated with Leica optics.
Beyond image quality, Luna Ultra emphasizes ease of use through its compact three-axis gimbal stabilization system that helps produce smooth and steady footage even during movement. An innovative detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen allows remote control and monitoring, while Deep Track 5.0 uses artificial intelligence to automatically follow subjects and keep them perfectly framed during recording.

Additional features such as PureVideo low-light technology and AI-assisted editing tools simplify the creative process, enabling users to focus more on storytelling rather than technical adjustments.

Alongside the product launch, Insta360 Philippines continues to expand its local presence. After growing to more than 30 authorized retail outlets nationwide in 2025, the company aims to reach 50 locations by the end of 2026. Plans are also underway for the brand’s first flagship store outside China, with Cebu emerging as a potential location for the immersive retail experience.

The Insta360 Luna Ultra is now available through authorized retailers across the Philippines, with the Standard Bundle priced at PHP 46,790 and the Creator Bundle at PHP 59,490.
