A Gold Standard in Community Retail

MR.DIY Jumbo Jenra Apalit team beams with pride as they receive the prestigious DTI GOLD BAGWIS Award — a symbol of their unwavering commitment to consumer rights, ethical business practices, and service excellence. Awarded on December 15, 2025 in Pampanga

In Pampanga, where neighborhood commerce plays a vital role in everyday life, three MR.DIY stores have quietly set a benchmark for responsible retailing. MR.DIY Philippines recently announced that its stores in Macabebe and Apalit have been conferred the Gold Bagwis Award by the Department of Trade and Industry, recognizing their consistent commitment to fair trade, consumer protection, and service excellence.

The honor was awarded in December 2025 to MR.DIY Primark Macabebe, MR.DIY Apalit, and MR.DIY Jumbo Jenra Apalit—marking a milestone achievement, as this was the first time these locations applied for Gold-level recognition under the DTI Bagwis Awards. The distinction reflects not just operational compliance, but a deeper alignment with ethical and customer-centered business practices.

Each of the recognized stores has built a strong connection with its local community. MR.DIY Apalit, which opened as a free-standing store in August 2023, and MR.DIY Jumbo Jenra Apalit, launched in March 2024, have quickly earned the trust of residents by offering a wide selection of affordable, reliable products supported by attentive customer service. Over time, both locations have become go-to destinations for everyday household and home improvement needs in the area.

MR.DIY Primark Macabebe, meanwhile, carries a unique role. Opened in September 2021, it remains the only MR.DIY store in the Municipality of Macabebe, extending its reach to nearby Masantol as well. For many families, it has become an essential retail hub—bringing accessible, quality solutions closer to home and reducing the need to travel farther for basic necessities.

The DTI Bagwis Awards program recognizes establishments that consistently uphold consumer rights, observe fair pricing, comply with trade and product standards, and maintain effective feedback and service mechanisms. Gold-level awardees undergo rigorous evaluation, signaling a high degree of reliability and accountability in retail operations.

For MR.DIY Philippines, the recognition reinforces a broader mission: to grow responsibly while creating safe, trustworthy, and welcoming shopping environments. As the brand continues to expand nationwide, it remains focused on delivering value-driven experiences that help make everyday living simpler, more joyful, and complete for Filipino communities.
