The dream of exploring new destinations became a reality for thousands of Filipinos as the GTBA-Oneklik Travel Sale Expo 2025 successfully concluded its three-day run last September 26–28 at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall. Now on its third year, the expo reaffirmed its position as one of the country’s most exciting travel events, offering not just discounts but also a deeper connection between travelers and the global tourism industry.

Organized by the Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA) and Oneklik Events, the expo was held in partnership with the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), Boracay Malay LGU, Tourism Malaysia, Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with support from the Department of Tourism (DOT) and multiple embassies from across Asia. More than 200 exhibitors representing airlines, hotels, cruises, and tour operators participated, transforming the venue into a vibrant marketplace of travel possibilities.

With its theme, “Your Gateway to the World,” the 2025 edition emphasized accessibility and inclusivity. GTBA Founding Chairman and TSE Chairperson Michelle Taylan highlighted that the event is about making travel practical and affordable for all Filipinos. “We are democratizing travel. People are no longer chasing just bucket lists; they want smart, value-packed choices. That’s exactly what we deliver,” she said.

Beyond irresistible deals, the expo also became a platform for dialogue and collaboration. Industry leaders, government officials, and international partners gathered for forums tackling halal tourism, sustainable travel, and new growth opportunities. The strengthened collaboration between DTI and DOT also underscored a push to spotlight Filipino culture, local products, and Muslim-friendly tourism—making the Philippines more attractive to ASEAN and global travelers.

Visitors experienced more than just transactions. From interactive booths and retail pop-ups to surprise cultural performances, the expo blended leisure with learning. For GTBA, these immersive activities are meant to redefine travel as a lifestyle—one that supports jobs, nurtures culture, and fuels the economy.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, DTI Director Aleem Guiapal, DFA Assistant Secretary Rhenita B. Rodriguez, international ambassadors, and tourism leaders, alongside sponsors like Metrobank, GCash, AirAsia Philippines, and United Airlines.

Since its launch in 2023, the Travel Sale Expo has grown rapidly, each year setting new benchmarks in turnout and partnerships. With 2025 marking its biggest edition yet, GTBA and Oneklik promise an even more expansive celebration next year—ensuring that more Filipinos can see the world, one affordable trip at a time.
