Science took to the seas once more as 2GO, the Philippines’ largest logistics and sea travel provider, teamed up with The Mind Museum to deliver the Mind Rover—a 12-meter, museum-on-wheels—to Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Far from a routine shipment, this journey transformed into a moving classroom. Passengers aboard MV 2GO St. Francis Xavier enjoyed science-themed activities curated by The Mind Museum, turning a weekend voyage from Manila into an unforgettable, floating STEAM adventure. Young travelers and families found themselves building, experimenting, and exploring, proving that learning need not stop when you set sail.
Now on its third voyage after visits to Bacolod and General Santos, the Mind Rover brings interactive exhibits and live demonstrations to communities that might otherwise be beyond the museum’s reach. “Thanks to 2GO, the Mind Rover can visit islands that would take weeks to reach by land,” shared Maria Isabel Garcia, Managing Director and Curator of The Mind Museum. “Together, we’re able to spark curiosity among kids who may one day pursue science or engineering.”

Beyond its shipping role, 2GO sees this as an opportunity to deepen Filipinos’ connection with the sea. “It’s about making the journey itself meaningful,” said Francis Chua, Business Unit Head of 2GO Travel. “Through science shows and exhibits onboard, families can better appreciate sea travel, sustainability, and the science behind the voyage.”
The Puerto Princesa activation continues a shared mission: to move not only people and goods but also ideas, creativity, and inspiration across islands. For 2GO—a company whose ships touch 19 ports nationwide—it’s proof that logistics can do more than bridge islands; it can bridge minds.
As the Mind Rover rolls onto new shores, it carries a promise: that science belongs everywhere, even at sea, and especially where curiosity is waiting to be awakened.
