TECNO CAMON Slim 5G Blends Art, AI, Powerful Imaging

TECNO is combining slim design, mobile photography, and practical artificial intelligence with the launch of the CAMON Slim 5G, a smartphone created for users who want style and performance in a lightweight device.

Measuring just 6.39mm thin, the CAMON Slim 5G manages to house a large 6,000mAh battery designed to support a full day of use. Its curved form takes inspiration from the swan-neck design of TECNO’s CAMON 50 series, giving the device a sleek profile that is comfortable for one-handed use.

The smartphone is available in five artistic finishes—Burgundy Red, Neo Mondrian, Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue, and Rebel Pink. Each colorway has its own visual identity. Neo Mondrian uses photochromic technology that reveals colorful geometric patterns when exposed to ultraviolet light, while Van Gogh Blue features a gradient treatment inspired by the swirling imagery of “The Starry Night.”

Photography is a central feature of the CAMON Slim 5G. It carries a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C Ultra-Night main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, supported by Optical Image Stabilization, AI Electronic Image Stabilization, and AI Shutter.

TECNO’s Super-Zoom FlashSnap is designed to capture fast-moving moments at concerts, sporting events, gatherings, and other everyday situations. The smartphone also offers 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm portrait focal lengths, while TECNO Universal Tone technology uses AI to reproduce different skin tones more naturally.

Alongside the smartphone, TECNO introduced the Mag Badge, a magnetic Bluetooth accessory with a 1.73-inch AMOLED display. It can serve as a photo gallery, selfie preview screen, and remote camera shutter from up to 10 meters away.

AI features are integrated throughout the device. AI Snap Poster can transform product photos into promotional images, while AI LightMaster 2.0 helps remove unwanted shadows, reflections, and flares. AI Recording Notes can transcribe lectures and organize information, while AI Class Schedule converts photographed schedules into digital timetables. AI Healthy Eating can also analyze food photos to estimate calories and nutrients.

The CAMON Slim 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED 144Hz display and runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G processor. It also carries IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 protection ratings and has passed MIL-STD-810 testing.
