SMDC Nature: Redefining Modern Living Through Wellness and Sustainability

In an age where urban living often feels rushed and rigid, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) offers a refreshing shift in perspective with SMDC Nature — its newest residential brand designed to bring balance, comfort, and sustainability back into everyday life.

Launched on October 30, 2025, at Conrad Manila, SMDC Nature embodies the idea that nature and modernity can thrive together. “SMDC Nature is about building homes that make everyday life lighter, healthier, and more connected,” said Jessica Bianca Sy, Vice President and Head of Design, Innovation, and Strategy at SMDC. “Our goal is simple: to help Filipinos live well — closer to work, closer to family, and closer to what matters most.”

This new brand represents the evolution of SMDC’s community design philosophy — one that integrates greenery, accessibility, and wellness. Following SMDC Heights and Symphony Homes, SMDC Nature further expands the company’s portfolio of thoughtful living spaces tailored to the Filipino lifestyle.

At the heart of every SMDC Nature project is the 15-minute home concept, where essential destinations like schools, markets, parks, and public transport are just minutes away. This design reduces travel time, promoting a life that values quality moments over commutes. “Accessibility is part of livability,” Sy emphasized. “It’s about being near what you need so life becomes easier and more enjoyable.”

Beyond convenience, wellness takes center stage. SMDC Nature integrates open spaces, tree-lined walkways, and inviting parks that encourage residents to move, unwind, and connect. “Nature isn’t something we add after,” Sy noted. “It’s built into how we plan our spaces — from airflow and sunlight to how people interact and rest.”

Sustainability also anchors SMDC Nature’s mission. The brand’s eco-conscious design features include solar systems and motion-sensor lighting, which cut energy use by up to 35% — preventing over 250 metric tons of CO₂ emissions per project, equivalent to planting 10,000 trees. Water-saving systems and flood-prevention measures further highlight SMDC’s environmental commitment.

This vision gained momentum through a partnership with Buskowitz Energy Inc., sealing a Power Purchase Agreement to deploy solar energy systems across SMDC developments. The collaboration supports SM Prime Holdings’ Net Zero by 2040 roadmap, reinforcing the company’s leadership in sustainable urban living.

With its promise, “Where Life Grows With You,” SMDC Nature reflects a future where homes nurture not just people — but the planet too. 🌿
