CAITO: Uniting CALABARZON’s Tourism Through Collaboration and Innovation

In the heart of Southern Luzon, the CALABARZON Alliance of Independent Tour Operators Inc. (CAITO) stands as a beacon of collaboration and innovation, driving the region’s tourism renaissance. More than just an organization, CAITO is a thriving community of travel professionals—tour operators, agencies, and hospitality advocates—bound by a shared vision to make tourism not only profitable but purposeful.

Since its establishment, CAITO has become a powerful voice for inclusive and sustainable tourism. Guided by its partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A, it continues to champion responsible travel and entrepreneurial empowerment, proving that progress happens when collaboration takes the front seat.

At the core of this movement is the CALABARZON Tourism Business Exchange (CTBEX), now on its third successful year. What began as a small networking platform has evolved into a vibrant business-to-business marketplace connecting local and international players. CTBEX 2025 celebrated the synergy among sellers, buyers, and advocates who collectively fuel the region’s tourism economy. The event honored the visionary leadership of CAITO President Ms. Lorie Tepora, whose direction and dedication have inspired the organization’s continued impact.

CTBEX 2025 also featured key figures such as Ms. Elvie Quiazon of Bellevue Hotels & Resorts, Dr. Dimapuno Datu-Ramos of NCMF-NCR, Ms. Teresita Leabres of Cavite Premiere Tourism Board Inc., and DOT Region IV-A Director Ms. Marites Castro—whose messages underscored the importance of digital transformation and sustainability in today’s travel landscape.

Following CTBEX’s success, CAITO gathered members and guests for its 3rd General Membership Meeting at Summit Ridge Hotel, Tagaytay, under the theme “Generative AI.” The session explored how artificial intelligence is transforming the way travel businesses operate—from personalized marketing to enhanced guest experiences—proving that even tradition-rich industries like tourism must evolve with technology.

As the year draws to a close, CAITO invites everyone to its much-anticipated “Winter Wonderland” Thanksgiving and B2B event on December 2, 2025, at Tagaytay Country Hotel. The celebration will serve as both a reflection of shared victories and a launchpad for future partnerships.

CAITO’s story is one of unity, growth, and forward thinking—a testament that when communities come together with heart and vision, tourism becomes not just a business, but a movement.
