SmarTrade hosts wellness talk for employees, underscores role of nutrition in financial health

Licensed nutritionist-dietitian Macy Lopez discusses healthy eating habits to SmarTrade employees during the Nutrition Month 2025 wellness talk held at the company’s office in Makati.

In celebration of Nutrition Month 2025, SmarTrade hosted a wellness talk on “Healthy Eating Habits” for its employees that highlighted the connection between healthy living and smart decision-making.

Licensed nutritionist and dietitian Macy Lopez shared practical tips on building better eating habits despite a busy lifestyle and emphasized the importance of proper nutrition in strengthening the immune system, especially during the rainy season when illnesses are more common. The talk covered strategies for meal planning on a budget, avoiding stress eating, and choosing food that supports energy and productivity. It also encouraged employees to reflect on their routines and find realistic ways to improve their nutrition.

As a company committed to financial education, SmarTrade recognizes that both health and wealth rely on informed choices.

Just as understanding investment strategies is key to financial growth, learning how to nourish your body properly is essential to performing your best, whether at work, at home, or in the trading arena.  Good nutrition leads to mental clarity, sharper focus, and consistent energy levels. These are all vital in making sound financial decisions.

“At SmarTrade, we teach Filipinos to make informed financial decisions, and that same mindset applies to how we take care of our bodies,” said Joyce Mayo, President and CEO of SmarTrade. “Both areas require discipline, awareness, and long-term thinking. By empowering our team with knowledge about nutrition, we support their overall journey toward a smarter and healthier lifestyle.”

SmarTrade continues to foster a workplace culture that values holistic development. The company integrates wellness education into its programs to help employees stay balanced, resilient, and focused. These initiatives are part of SmarTrade’s broader mission to uplift lives through accessible knowledge, whether in finance, health, or everyday living.
