Omega Healthcare and Microsoft Deepen AI Partnership to Transform Revenue Cycle Management

The AI solutions incorporate Microsoft Azure’s intelligent automation engines that are seamlessly integrated across the ODP, supporting the full revenue cycle: patient access, mid-cycle operations, and back-end processes

Omega Healthcare is stepping up its game in revolutionizing revenue cycle management (RCM) by expanding its strategic collaboration with Microsoft—ushering in a new era of generative and agentic AI-powered healthcare solutions.

Building on a successful partnership established in 2023, Omega Healthcare has now launched over 20 new AI-driven tools by integrating Microsoft Azure’s advanced large language models—particularly those available through Azure AI Foundry—into its Omega Digital Platform (ODP). These solutions are designed to automate and optimize complex workflows across the revenue cycle, helping healthcare providers reduce costs, boost compliance, and enhance financial performance.

“We’re combining our deep healthcare and RCM knowledge with Microsoft’s leading-edge AI technologies to tackle previously unautomatable processes,” said Anurag Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder of Omega Healthcare. “By delivering scalable, tech-enabled services without heavy infrastructure investments, we’re enabling healthcare providers to refocus their time and energy on quality patient care.”

The collaboration centers on streamlining key administrative processes, from denial management and appeals to call center support and clinical documentation improvement. With AI woven directly into the ODP, healthcare organizations can now realize up to 75% reductions in accounts receivable follow-up days and faster resolution timelines—while maintaining higher levels of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Elena Bonfiglioli, General Manager of Worldwide Healthcare at Microsoft, praised Omega Healthcare’s forward-thinking approach: “They are one of the most innovative partners we’ve seen using Azure AI Foundry capabilities. Their ability to turn AI into actionable solutions across the full RCM spectrum sets them apart as true leaders in healthcare tech transformation.”

The AI modules cover the full revenue cycle—spanning patient access, mid-cycle, and back-end operations. In addition to provider-facing solutions, Omega Healthcare is now supporting payers with powerful tools like retrospective HCC coding automation and curated data sets for life sciences research, extending the reach of AI even further.

Recent industry insights reinforce the promise of AI in healthcare. A survey by Everest Group found that 85% of senior healthcare executives believe AI will significantly improve RCM efficiency in the coming years. Omega Healthcare’s leadership in the space suggests that the transformation is already underway.

“The future of AI in healthcare is limitless,” Mehta added. “Together with Microsoft, we’re shaping that future—one intelligent solution at a time.”
