Hotel Lucky Chinatown Brings Family Together on Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is more than just attracting luck.

Celebrated on January 25, this one of the most anticipated events equate to prosperous beginnings while reuniting each and every family at Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Binondo.

Standing tall along the streets of Reina Regente in a vicinity popularly known as the world’s oldest Chinatown, the property welcomed the official entrance of the Year of the Metal Rat through an Eye-dotting Ceremony at the hotel facade and a variety of other Chinese traditions  – from adorning the doors and counters with “angpao” or red envelopes filled with “lucky money,” colorful lion and dragon exhibitions representing wealth and never-ending good luck, serving traditional dishes, to donning bright red clothing.

Hotel Lucky Chinatown Resident Manager Jeremy Russell Go gleefully said, “Chinese New Year is all about prosperous beginnings. And celebrations like this becomes more meaningful when spent with family. It really is about family.”

With its mission to transport each guest to a unique dining experience, the colorful celebrations are well paired with culinary creations featuring a special Oriental spread at Cafe de Chinatown prepped for in-house and walk-in guests.
