Globe’s GDay 2025: A Celebration of Gratitude and Giving

Globe’s annual GDay 2025 became more than just a corporate tradition—it turned into a powerful statement of gratitude, unity, and purpose. With the theme “Globe Celebrates You,” the company honored its employees, fondly known as Ka-Globes, while extending the celebration to communities in need.

The day began with leaders personally surprising employees with tokens of appreciation, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass led by Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD, which set the tone of thankfulness. Offices across the country buzzed with activities including food booths, buskers, fun games, and even personalized pins designed to reflect each employee’s avatar.

In the weeks leading to the event, Ka-Globes engaged in exciting initiatives such as the G Raffle Rush, where daily challenges unlocked travel vouchers, staycations, and limited-edition 917 items. Peer-to-peer recognition also shone through the GDay Shoutouts, spotlighting employees in categories like Team Spirit, Happy Helper, and Everyday Hero.

Beyond festivities, GDay highlighted Globe’s enduring commitment to social good. Over 3,000 Ka-Globes dedicated 91.7 Minutes of Service with seven partner NGOs nationwide. Volunteers repacked relief kits with ABS-CBN Foundation and Save the Children, prepared school meals with Ayala Foundation, assembled Kindness Boxes with World Vision, and supported inclusion efforts with Special Olympics Pilipinas. Environmental care also played a part through Hands On Manila’s Bokashi Project, where volunteers helped clean Manila’s esteros.

To further the cause, employees joined fundraising drives such as T-Shirt for a Cause, initially pledging ₱917,000 but successfully raising over ₱2 million for beneficiaries.

For Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz, his first GDay was deeply meaningful: “Our employees are our greatest asset. This celebration is not just about appreciation, but about living our purpose of care, malasakit, and innovation every day.”
