Filipinos Experience Taiwan with Catriona Gray at Taiwan Excellence Pavilion

Taiwan Expo 2025 opened its doors at the SMX Convention Center from September 17 to 19, showcasing Taiwan’s finest innovations through the much-anticipated Taiwan Excellence Pavilion. With the theme “Inspiring Tomorrow: Solutions for a Brighter Life,” the pavilion invited Filipinos to experience the future of smart living, sustainable technologies, and life-enhancing solutions.

One of the biggest highlights was the appearance of Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, who delighted fans with a meet and greet and autograph signing session. Before greeting her supporters, she toured the pavilion with Taiwan Excellence’s Fu Bear mascot and joined the official launch press conference. “It is such an honor to be part of this celebration of innovation,” she said. “I hope Filipinos embrace the chance to explore Taiwan’s groundbreaking solutions and carry home the inspiration of a brighter tomorrow.”

The event gathered prominent leaders from Taiwan, including Mr. Simon Wang, President and CEO of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and Ms. Josephine Shun, Director of the Economic Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO). Both emphasized Taiwan’s commitment to practical innovations that improve daily life while fostering collaboration with global partners.

Visitors were treated to live product presentations from leading Taiwanese brands such as Vinxper Life, Team Group, Zyxel Networks, and HEPTY. Organized under three categories—Comfortable Life, Smart City, and Greener Future—the exhibits covered a diverse range of industries including advanced medical devices, sustainable technologies, and smart fitness solutions.

Beyond the exhibits, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion offered interactive activities, photo opportunities with Fu Bear, and special giveaways. Catriona Gray also joined the lively Gimme Five Parade, exploring the other booths at the Taiwan Expo and sharing the spirit of camaraderie with visitors.
