Foundever® in the Philippines strengthened its commitment to sustainability and community stewardship as it took part in the International Coastal Clean-up 2025, leading simultaneous environmental activities at two important coastal areas: the Central Park MOA Complex in Pasay City and the Puerto Princesa Baywalk in Palawan. The initiative, aligned with the company’s 3G (Go Green Goal) sustainability campaign, showcased how teamwork and shared purpose can create real impact in protecting the country’s marine environments.
In Pasay City, volunteers worked hand in hand to collect 206 kilograms of mixed waste—debris that could have threatened marine life and disrupted the natural balance of Manila Bay. Down south, 43 associates in Palawan took on the same mission with equal dedication, cleaning up the scenic Puerto Princesa Baywalk and contributing to the preservation of one of the country’s most biodiverse regions. Their collective actions reflected a unified message: environmental care is everyone’s responsibility.
According to Willy Lim, Vice President for HR, Marketing and Talent Acquisition for the Philippines, China, and Malaysia, the activity embodies the company’s broader approach to sustainability. “Environmental sustainability is more than just a corporate responsibility—it’s a collective commitment that requires active participation from every member of our organization. Through initiatives like the International Coastal Clean-up, we’re empowering our associates to become environmental champions in their communities,” he shared.
Beyond a one-day clean-up, the effort forms part of a bigger sustainability framework that Foundever® in the Philippines continues to strengthen. Through its 3G campaign, the company has rolled out various eco-centered initiatives such as tree planting, thrift bazaars, recycling programs, e-waste collection, and the digitization of tools and processes. These programs serve not only to reduce environmental impact but to inspire employees to lead more sustainable lifestyles inside and outside the workplace.
Lim added that the campaign’s success demonstrates the power of collective action. The waste removed represents not only cleaner shorelines but a deeper pledge to safeguard the country’s coastal ecosystems for generations to come. Foundever® emphasized that these efforts also support the Philippines’ Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, reinforcing its role as an active partner in national environmental protection.
