Eastwood Richmonde Hotel marked a meaningful milestone as it celebrated its 15th anniversary with an intimate Christmas tree lighting ceremony—an evening that honored its journey as one of the pioneers of homegrown Filipino hospitality. Under the theme “15 and Beyond: Forward Filipino Hospitality,” the celebration became both a tribute to the hotel’s legacy and a renewed promise to carry Filipino warmth, creativity, and cultural pride into the future.

From the moment guests arrived, the event felt like a homecoming. Jun Justo, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts NCR+ Cluster General Manager and ERH General Manager, opened the program by revisiting ERH’s unique role in history: it was the first-ever hotel within Megaworld Corporation’s earliest township, Eastwood City. More than just a landmark, ERH became the blueprint for township-based hospitality—an anchor of community life, commerce, and culture. This legacy was highlighted in a moving audiovisual presentation paying homage to the hotel’s dedicated Enrichers, whose genuine smiles and tireless service have shaped the Richmonde brand’s recognizable warmth.

The evening grew even more special with messages from a distinguished roster of guests, including Megaworld Corporation President and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, Tourism Undersecretary Maria Rica Bueno, Quezon City representative Jong Sumpiaco, and Megaworld Hotels and Resorts Managing Director Cleofe Albiso. Their remarks underscored ERH’s growing influence on local tourism and community development, praising its consistent delivery of the uniquely Filipino Sampaguita Serviceand its commitment to sustainable, inclusive hospitality.

A celebratory toast led by MHR Group General Manager Art Boncato signaled the culmination of the anniversary program, paving the way for the highly anticipated countdown to the lighting of the Christmas tree and a magnificent Sampaguita-inspired Capiz lantern—symbols of hope, heritage, and the festive season ahead.

Guests were later serenaded by Harana, a group of Kundirana alumni, whose heartfelt OPM classics and Christmas carols wrapped the evening in nostalgia. The celebration concluded at Eastwood Café+Bar with a six-course dinner curated by MHR Corporate Chef Panky Lopez and ERH Executive Chef Peter Paluga, showcasing inventive Filipino dishes such as Salmon Sinigang Steak and Caldereta Tiger Pie.

As Eastwood Richmonde Hotel enters a new chapter, it stands firm in its mission to elevate local hospitality—one meaningful, mindful, and authentically Filipino experience at a time.
