The European Union has brought its poultry quality promise to the forefront with the Manila launch of the “European Poultry – From Our Farms to Your Table” campaign.

Held on August 7, 2025, the event emphasized that stringent certification is not just a requirement—it is the backbone of Europe’s poultry industry, ensuring safety, quality, and consumer trust from production to plate.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Dariusz Goszczyński, President of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce, underscored that EU poultry’s edge in the global market comes from compliance with internationally recognized certification systems, including HACCP, GMP/GHP, ISO 22000, IFS Food, BRC, and Halal. “These certifications guarantee that every stage of production—from feed to processing—meets the strictest standards, making EU poultry a reliable choice for importers, retailers, and consumers,” he said.

Quality certification expert Ms. Kamila Cicherska-Borońska added that EU poultry not only meets European regulatory benchmarks but also aligns seamlessly with Philippine health and import requirements. “Shipments come exclusively from disease-free zones and undergo rigorous checks before export, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with local standards,” she explained.

The campaign’s debut coincided with its participation in WOFEX Manila 2025, one of the country’s largest food industry exhibitions. Through trade events, B2B meetings, and study tours to Europe, the initiative seeks to deepen engagement with Southeast Asian stakeholders, fostering partnerships and expanding market reach. By highlighting its robust certification systems, the EU aims to boost its presence in the Philippine poultry sector, which is currently led by imports from Brazil and the United States.

“European Poultry – From Our Farms to Your Table” is more than a marketing push—it is an educational effort designed to inform the Philippine market about the stringent measures behind every shipment. For the EU, certification is not just a stamp of approval; it is a promise of quality, safety, and ethical production, reflecting the industry’s dedication to sustainable and transparent practices.

With growing consumer awareness and demand for safe, high-quality protein, the EU is positioning its poultry as a premium, trustworthy option for Filipino households and businesses alike—one that carries the weight of decades of expertise and the assurance of world-class certification.
