Business Leaders Unite for MMBC 2026

Business, government, and diplomatic leaders from across the country are set to converge for the 34th Metro Manila Business Conference (MMBC) 2026, an annual gathering that aims to shape strategies for a more competitive Philippine economy and a stronger ASEAN region. Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry–National Capital Region (PCCI-NCR), the conference will take place on August 3–4, 2026, at the Fiesta Pavilion of The Manila Hotel.

With the theme “Navigating Energy, Trade, and Security for Resilient Business and Stronger ASEAN,” this year’s conference reflects the growing need for collaboration as businesses and governments respond to global economic uncertainties, technological advances, and shifting geopolitical realities. The event seeks to provide a venue where decision-makers can exchange ideas, identify opportunities, and formulate solutions that will help enterprises adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

PCCI-NCR views the conference as more than an annual gathering. It is designed to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors while encouraging discussions that can influence policies, attract investments, and support sustainable economic development. As the Philippines continues to pursue regional competitiveness, the conference also highlights the country’s role in advancing economic cooperation within the ASEAN community.

The two-day event will feature presentations and panel discussions led by Cabinet officials, Metro Manila local government executives, ASEAN ambassadors, economists, business executives, technology experts, and industry leaders. Together, they will examine issues affecting businesses today, from energy transition and regional trade to digital innovation and workforce transformation.

Participants can expect in-depth discussions on building investment-ready cities, improving energy security, strengthening regional trade partnerships, and enhancing government services that support enterprises. Other sessions will explore organizational development, economic security, artificial intelligence, and the changing demands of the future workforce. A CEO Fireside Chat will also bring together respected business leaders to share insights on innovation, resilience, and leadership in an increasingly complex global marketplace.

Among the conference’s key features are the LGU Leadership Panel, which will showcase best practices in creating competitive local economies; the Energy Plenary, focusing on the country’s transition toward a more secure and sustainable energy future; and the ASEAN Ambassador Roundtable, where regional representatives will discuss economic integration, trade, and investment opportunities. Delegates will also participate in forums dedicated to chamber development, government support programs, and the role of artificial intelligence in preparing businesses for the digital economy.

The conference will conclude with the adoption of the MMBC 2026 Resolutions, a set of recommendations developed from the discussions and insights shared throughout the event. These resolutions are expected to contribute to policy recommendations that encourage investment, innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth while reinforcing PCCI’s role as the voice of Philippine business.

For more than 30 years, the Metro Manila Business Conference has served as PCCI-NCR’s flagship platform for dialogue among business leaders, policymakers, academics, and members of the diplomatic community. As it celebrates its 34th edition, MMBC continues to strengthen collaboration, promote innovation, and support initiatives that will help position the Philippines as a resilient and competitive economy within the ASEAN region.
