ArenaPlus, the country’s premier 24/7 sports entertainment platform, has teamed up once again with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) to co-present PBA Esports Bakbakan Season 2. This cutting-edge league combines the excitement of traditional sports with the digital thrills of competitive gaming.
PBA Esports Bakbakan brings together teams from all twelve PBA franchises to compete in popular esports titles. While Season 1 featured Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG: Battlegrounds, this season highlighted intense battles in DOTA 2. The grand finals took place on November 26 in Makati City, with Ivory-Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots triumphing over MorVis-Rain or Shine Elastopainters in a best-of-three series.

In the battle for third place, the North Port Batang Pier team, “KINGS,” defeated Jules & Friends of Blackwater Bossing to claim the second runner-up spot. Dex Mhalon Dignadice, famously known as “GoHan,” from Ivory-Magnolia was crowned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance.
Adding to the excitement, several PBA stars joined the event to cheer on their teams and engage with fans. Among them were Nic Demusis (Rain or Shine), Jake Pascual (NLEX), Alvin Pasaol (Meralco), Frans Yu (NorthPort), and Jerom Lastimosa (Magnolia).

ArenaPlus elevated the event with branded installations, gift packs for winners, and recognition as a key co-presenter. The partnership underscores ArenaPlus’ dedication to enhancing sports entertainment in the Philippines, blending traditional and virtual sports to deliver unforgettable experiences for fans.
With its growing collaboration with the PBA, ArenaPlus continues to expand its role in the evolving sports landscape, ensuring every event is filled with fun and excitement for all.
