Art meets nature and environmental awareness in ART-ic HUEniverse, a wildlife preservation campaign by SM’s North Luzon malls in Baliwag, Marilao, Sangandaan, Valenzuela and Pulilan to help create awareness of the plight of animals in the arctic, especially polar bears, due to climate change.

This will take place in SM City Baliwag and will run from July 18-24 followed by SM City Marilao on July 26-Agust 1, SM Center Sangandaan on August 12-18, SM City Valenzuela on August 19-25 and SM Center Pulilan on August 27-September 2 respectively.

A joint project of SM’s North Luzon Malls, the World Wildlife Fund, and Boysen, ART-ic HUEniverse features a colorful art installation representing life-sized polar bears as big as 4 feet in height and 8 feet in length. While raising awareness, the installation is set to bring moments of connection to people and the Polar bears as part of the wildlife in one unique experience.

The Polar bears reimagined in motion are uniquely crafted in hues of triangular colorful pastels revealed in a 26 feet x 30 feet set up inspired by a futuristic Memphis and Plexis Art. Giving color to the meaningful attraction is Boysen Philippines, through the brilliant strokes of young and talented painters from Guhit Pinas Bulacan Chapter.

The attraction also comes with Info-Tech features in collaboration with the International Non-Governmental Organization World Wildlife Fund (WWF) where shoppers may scan QR code for them to get trivia of the Arctic world, facts about the polar bear and other wildlife, and the programs WWF has in store for the Arctic.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is recognized for its strong effort in preserving wildlife in the arctic such as polar bears through the Arctic program. Some of their goals is to work with communities throughout the arctic to help them deal with the effects of climate change, support research, and bring northern to a global audience; support patrols around the Arctic to keep people and polar bears faring as the climate changes, as well as advocate for a full switch to renewable energy and working to protect the Arctic habitats that will be most resilient to change.
