Taiwan is once again inviting Filipino travelers to discover its unique blend of culture, adventure, and hospitality through the Taiwan Travel Fair 2026, which officially opened at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
The three-day event serves as a gateway for Filipinos eager to explore one of Asia’s most accessible and diverse destinations. Organized by the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA), the fair highlights the country’s tourism campaign, “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder,” while presenting a wide range of travel experiences that appeal to different types of travelers.
From bustling city attractions and scenic mountain landscapes to vibrant night markets and cultural landmarks, the fair offers visitors a glimpse of the many reasons Taiwan continues to attract international tourists. The event also reinforces the growing tourism relationship between Taiwan and the Philippines, a partnership that has steadily expanded through increased travel exchanges and stronger people-to-people connections.

Leading the opening ceremony was Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila and Bangkok under the Taiwan Tourism Administration. Tourism stakeholders, government representatives, travel industry partners, members of the media, and guests gathered to celebrate the opening of the annual event.
Joining the ceremony was Minister Dustin Yang, Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, who emphasized the importance of strengthening tourism cooperation between the two neighboring destinations.
The opening festivities reflected Taiwan’s vibrant culture and welcoming spirit. Guests were treated to energetic performances, including the eye-catching Diabolo Walker presentation and an interactive Zumba showcase that added excitement to the event’s launch.

A recognition program was also held to honor tourism and event partners whose efforts have helped increase awareness of Taiwan among Filipino travelers. Their contributions have played an important role in promoting Taiwan as a preferred destination for leisure, business, educational, and cultural travel.
Throughout the fair, visitors can explore destination exhibits showcasing Taiwan’s regions, attractions, and tourism products. Interactive displays, travel information booths, airline offers, cultural presentations, and exclusive travel packages provide guests with valuable resources for planning future trips.
Taiwan continues to appeal to Filipino travelers because of its convenience, efficient transportation system, rich heritage, and diverse attractions. Whether exploring historic temples, enjoying world-famous street food, shopping in modern districts, hiking through natural landscapes, or visiting family-friendly destinations, travelers can experience a balance of tradition and innovation that defines Taiwan.

Beyond promoting travel, the fair also serves as an important platform for tourism stakeholders from Taiwan and the Philippines to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration. These connections are expected to support tourism growth and encourage more travelers to visit Taiwan in the years ahead.
Following the opening ceremony, guests participated in media interviews and a guided tour of the exhibition area, allowing them to experience firsthand the destinations and experiences being promoted.
The Taiwan Travel Fair 2026 runs from June 12 to 14 at the Glorietta Activity Center and is open to the public, offering Filipinos a closer look at the wonders that await in Taiwan.
