Wyndham Garden Manila Bay officially marked its grand opening with a celebration that highlighted not only the arrival of a new hotel in the country’s hospitality landscape but also the values of compassion, community, and authentic Filipino service.
Held along Roxas Boulevard, the event gathered government officials, tourism stakeholders, business executives, hotel partners, members of the media, and invited guests for a festive program featuring entertainment, culinary experiences, and tributes to individuals whose actions embody the spirit of service.

A defining moment of the celebration was the presentation of a Recognition of Heroism to Daniel Dagcutan, whose selfless actions saved two children from drowning on July 12. His bravery earned a standing ovation from attendees as hotel executives and local officials honored him for demonstrating courage and compassion in a life-threatening situation. By recognizing an ordinary citizen’s extraordinary act, Wyndham Garden Manila Bay underscored its belief that hospitality extends beyond welcoming guests—it also means uplifting and celebrating people who make a positive difference in the community.
The grand opening also shone a spotlight on Filipino talent and culture. Guests were treated to appearances by Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2025 Christine Eds Enero and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2025–World Top Model Naomi Wainwright, while singer Zendee energized the audience with a live performance. A thrilling fire dance presentation added excitement to the evening, while interactive photo booths and 360-degree video stations allowed guests to capture memorable moments throughout the celebration.

Food also played a central role in the festivities. Led by Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef Andrew Ko, the hotel’s culinary team prepared a poolside barbecue feast complemented by an assortment of canapés inspired by beloved Filipino flavors and regional cuisine, offering guests a taste of local hospitality through thoughtfully prepared dishes.
Beyond the festivities, the event reflected Wyndham Garden Manila Bay’s commitment to building strong partnerships with local government units, tourism organizations, suppliers, corporate partners, and the hospitality community. Hotel officials emphasized that meaningful collaboration is essential in creating memorable guest experiences while contributing to the growth of local tourism.

Situated near Entertainment City, Wyndham Garden Manila Bay features 300 contemporary guestrooms, dining outlets, wellness facilities, a swimming pool, and versatile function spaces designed for business meetings, celebrations, and social gatherings.

As the first Wyndham Garden property in the Philippines, the hotel begins its journey with a vision of delivering warm Filipino hospitality while fostering meaningful community connections. More than simply opening its doors to travelers, Wyndham Garden Manila Bay aims to become a place where inspiring stories, local partnerships, and genuine service come together to create memorable experiences for every guest.
