Visa Expands Philippine Operations at MOA Complex

Strengthening partnerships, enabling possibilities. SM Offices and Visa mark their partnership with a contract signing led by Alexis Ortiga (second from left), Vice President and Business Unit Head, SM Offices, and Chari dela Cruz (third from left), Vice President, Global Managed Services and Visa Philippines Solution Center Site Lead, with Maricris Cruz, Head of Leasing, SM Offices, and Jeffrey Navarro, Country Manager, Visa Philippines.

Visa is significantly expanding its presence in the Philippines as it moves into a larger office facility within the SM Mall of Asia Complex, reflecting the company’s growing local operations and demand for integrated workplaces.

SM Offices, the commercial leasing arm of SM Prime Holdings Inc., has entered into an expansion lease agreement with Visa Inc., allowing the global digital payments company to more than double its existing office footprint.

From approximately 4,000 square meters at Five E-com Center, Visa is transferring to a 9,000-square-meter facility at Four E-com Center. The new location is now home to the Visa Philippines Solution Center and provides substantially more space to accommodate the company’s expanding workforce and operations.

The facility brings together Visa’s administrative, financial, and technology functions and is designed to operate around the clock. Beyond accommodating its present requirements, the expanded workplace provides flexibility for future growth while creating an environment intended to improve the overall employee experience.

Alexis Ortiga, Vice President and Business Unit Head for SM Offices, said workplaces are increasingly becoming an important part of how large organizations manage their operations and long-term expansion.

“Today’s workplace plays a far more strategic role in organizational performance. Large companies are increasingly looking for spaces that can bring more of their operations together while giving them the flexibility to grow over time,” Ortiga said.

Visa’s decision to expand also highlights continued demand among multinational companies for premium office developments capable of supporting larger and more integrated business operations in the Philippines.

Chari Dela Cruz, Vice President, Global Managed Services and Visa Philippines Solution Center Site Lead, said Four E-com Center offered an appropriate environment as Visa continues to strengthen its Philippine presence.

“Expanding to Four E-com Center was a natural decision as we continue to grow our business and support our people,” Dela Cruz said. She cited the E-com campus’ strategic location, connectivity, accessibility, and nearby amenities as important advantages for Visa’s growing team.

Four E-com Center is a LEED Gold-certified premium office development distinguished by three crystalline towers with an all-glass façade. Designed by global architecture firm Arquitectonica, the property also features an open-air sky garden on the fifth level, providing employees and visitors with additional outdoor space.

The building forms part of the larger E-com campus and is directly connected to SM Mall of Asia through an all-weather bridgeway. It is also located near Lanson Place, providing convenient access to hotel accommodations as well as meeting and event facilities.

Visa’s expanded facility further strengthens the Mall of Asia Complex’s position as a business location for multinational companies seeking modern, accessible, and scalable office environments in Metro Manila.
