We tested several different vegetables and selected spinach, no pizza brand has ever thought of making a mainstream pizza product using this vegetable before.” says Justin Liu about his brainchild. To say it’s ingenious is an understatement, not only has the recognized pizza been their best-seller for years, it’s given other brands a nudge to join in on the Spinach Dip bandwagon.
But what exactly about the Creamy Spinach Dip makes it so palatable to the everyday Filipino? It isn’t just the culmination of ingredients, it’s also the history behind the decision to choose spinach as its hero component. “Spinach in itself is already well-known to the Filipino palate. Re-inventing and presenting spinach in a different and unique way was the idea. In formulating the spinach mix for the pizza concept, Angel’s uses different cream and cheeses to perfect that creamy spinach dip palette.” says Justin Liu.
It seems that Angel’s Pizza has cracked the code in creating a pizza that can top the trends but remain timeless too.
