“Taos Puso” the Book Launched for a Cause

CHILD HAUS (Center for Child Improvement and Life Development) which was founded by Philanthropist “Mother” Ricky Reyes launches its Taos Puso Book, which tells the story of how Child Haus started in 2002 and how Mr. Hans T. Sy, SM’s Chairman for Executive Committee has taken under its wing more than 19,000 patients and guardians from all over the country by donating a 7-story building which became the home away from home for the kids with cancer.

The book is a tribute to the many generous donors who, aside from Mr. Sy, have given so much to the worthy cause. Photos shows Mr. Hans Sy with wife Carol, veteran journalist Julie Yap Daza who wrote the foreword of the book, philanthropist and  CHILD HAUS founder “Mother” Ricky Reyes and the kids from Child Haus and their guardians.

The book that chronicles the history of Child Haus, authored and edited by Ivy Lisa F. Mendoza and with a foreword written by Jullie Yap-Daza, is launched at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on Saturday (Feb. 25, 2023).

Child (Center for Health Improvement and Life Development) Haus is a temporary home for cancer-stricken kids who have no place to stay in Metro Manila as they seek treatment in government hospitals, started by beauty salon entrepreneur Ricky Reyes (4th from left, 2nd row) 21 years ago and supported by Hans Sy (center, front row) of the SM Group of Companies.
