Taiwan made a strong impact on the Philippine travel industry this February through two major events: the Taiwan Pavilion at the 32nd PTAA Travel & Tour Expo 2025 and the Taiwan Tourism Workshop held on February 10 at Conrad Manila and February 11 at SMX Convention Center, Clark. These events highlighted Taiwan’s rich cultural experiences, tourism opportunities, and growing connection with Filipino travelers.
The Taiwan Pavilion, held from February 7 to 9 at SMX Convention Center, captivated visitors with its interactive exhibits, cultural performances, and vibrant photo walls, earning the title of “Most Decorated Booth.” PTAA President Ms. Evangeline Tankiang-Manotok commended Taiwan’s dedication to promoting its unique travel offerings.
Following the expo, the Taiwan Tourism Workshop 2025 gathered key industry players, airlines, and media representatives. Hosted by the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, the workshop highlighted Taiwan’s top destinations, growing accessibility for Filipino travelers, and strengthened travel partnerships with airlines such as China Airlines, EVA Air, STARLUX Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Yi-Ting Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, emphasized Taiwan’s commitment to welcoming more Filipino tourists. Mr. Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, Representative of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), reinforced Taiwan’s strong bilateral ties with the Philippines.
Interactive games, networking sessions, and a travel mart rounded out the event, sparking excitement among participants. With visa-free entry and exclusive travel deals, Taiwan continues to position itself as a top destination for Filipino travelers, blending tradition, modernity, and warm hospitality.
