The fairways of Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club in Laguna came alive as BingoPlus brought the International Series Philippines to local shores from October 23 to 26, marking a milestone for Philippine golf and national sports development. The four-day tournament, part of the Asian Tour and pathway to LIV Golf, featured global stars Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed alongside Filipino talents Miguel Tabuena, Angelo Que, and Sean Ramos—culminating in a historic home victory for Tabuena.

Thailand’s Sarit Suwannarut dominated early rounds with an eight-under-par 64, but Tabuena quickly stole the spotlight on Day 2 with a spectacular hole-in-one and eagle, thrilling local fans and climbing the leaderboard. By the third round, Tabuena surged into a tie for the lead with Suwannarut and China’s Sampson Zheng, powered by a bogey-free 65 and two eagles. “It’s special doing this at home. I was just in the zone,” Tabuena said, dedicating his performance to the late Paolo “Paowee” Tantoco, a beloved figure of Sta. Elena, as players wore blue ribbons in his honor.

On Championship Sunday, rain showers tested the field—but not Tabuena’s composure. The Filipino ace delivered another steady 65, finishing at 20-under to claim his first International Series title and a landmark victory for Philippine golf. Japan’s Kazuki Higa and Yosuke Asaji followed closely, while LIV stars Marc Leishman, Charl Schwartzel, and Dustin Johnson finished within the top 20.

“This win is for the home crowd—and for BingoPlus, who made this possible,” Tabuena shared after lifting the trophy. His victory elevated him to 2nd in the International Series rankings and 3rd in the Asian Tour Order of Merit, inspiring the next generation of Filipino golfers.

During the awarding, BingoPlus President Rafael Jasper Vicencio confirmed the event’s return in 2026, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to elevate local sports and empower future champions.

The International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus—a blend of global talent, local pride, and purpose—proved that the Philippines can shine on golf’s world stage.
