Swinging for Hope: Reggie Padua Cup Unites Hearts on the Fairway

Executives from the UP Triskelion Alumni, Inc. (UPTAI) join the SOCEX CEO during the awarding ceremonies of the 18th Reggie Padua Cup golf tournament.

What began as a friendly round of golf once again transformed into a mission of compassion and camaraderie. The 18th Reggie Padua Cup Invitational Golf Tournament, held recently at Hallow Ridge Filipinas Golf Inc. in San Pedro, Laguna, brought together a community of passionate golfers and selfless advocates for a meaningful cause.

Spearheaded by the UP Triskelion Alumni, Inc. (UPTAI) in partnership with SOCEX Consulting Corporation, this year’s tournament gathered nearly a hundred players—Triskelion brothers and sisters, business leaders, and generous supporters—united by one goal: to bring hope to children battling serious illnesses. All proceeds will go to the Hematology Unit of the National Children’s Hospital (NCH), providing much-needed medications and dialysis treatments for young patients.

UPTAI “Brods” take the first swing in the ceremonial tee-off, marking the start of a memorable day on the greens.

Now in its second year of partnership with SOCEX, the Reggie Padua Cup continues to grow stronger—both in spirit and in scale. The 2025 edition set new records in sponsorships, raffle prizes, and attendance, proving that when purpose drives passion, extraordinary things happen.

“This event is not just about playing golf; it’s about playing for others,” said Cholo Calimag, CEO of SOCEX Consulting Corporation. “At SOCEX, our mission is to create meaningful engagements that touch lives. Every event we manage must make an impact—and this tournament truly embodies that vision.”

Support also poured in from members of the Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity, whose active participation reinforced the timeless Triskelion values of Strength, Freewill, and Brotherhood. Major car brands, golf apparel companies, and restaurant partners joined the cause, reaffirming their trust in SOCEX’s expertise in creating professionally managed, purpose-driven events.

The Reggie Padua Cup is more than a tradition—it is a testament to what unity, generosity, and good leadership can achieve. With every swing and every smile, it continues to change lives and inspire others to give back.

Here’s to another year of golf for a greater good. See you at the next tee-off!
