SM Spreads Christmas Cheer to 6,000 Kids in Need

SM brought smiles to 6,000 underprivileged children across Metro Manila, Cagayan, Isabela, Batangas, Bicol, Cebu, and Zamboanga City through its “Shop and Share a Toy” campaign. This annual initiative, aimed at celebrating the season of giving, saw a 20% increase in donations compared to last year.

Kids in Cebu received brand new learning toys through SM Store JMall’s Shop&Share a Toy program in partnership with World Vision Cebu.

Partnering with SM Foundation, World Vision, Good Neighbors Philippines, and Rotary International, the campaign distributed toys to children from December 1 to 10, 2024.

SM Store turned over toys to its partner organizations including SM Foundation, World Vision, and Good Neighbors Philippines.

Customers of SM Store were invited to share the joy of Christmas by donating toys with a small contribution. For every PHP3,000 purchase, shoppers could donate a toy for just PHP100, making it easy to give back.

SM Store Mindpro, in partnership with Rotary International Zamboanga City West and the local government of Zamboanga City, donated brand new learning toys that will benefit SPED schools.

A portion of the donated toys helped transform SPED (Special Education) schools in Zamboanga City, enhancing classroom play areas for children with special needs.

The City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Offices of Solana in Cagayan Province and Cauayan in Isabela also benefited from the Shop&Share a Toy program through SM Store Tuguegarao and SM Store Cauayan.

Studies emphasize the importance of toys in children’s development, fostering skills in cognition, motor functions, and emotional growth. SM’s initiative highlights how a small act of generosity can bring immense joy and meaningful impact.
