SM Prime Venues Draw Over One Million Visitors

Live entertainment continues to attract large audiences across the Philippines as SM Prime Holdings, Inc. reports strong visitor growth at its major event venues in 2026.

From January to August, the SM Mall of Asia Arena, SM Seaside Cebu Arena and SMDC Festival Grounds collectively welcomed more than one million visitors. This represents a 52 percent increase from approximately 710,000 guests recorded during the same period in 2025.

The increase reflects Filipinos’ continuing appetite for concerts, sporting events, family entertainment and other large-scale live experiences. It also comes as SM Prime expands its entertainment footprint with the opening of SM Seaside Cebu Arena in July.

“Our venues provide Filipino audiences with a complete experience before, during and after a live event,” said Jeffrey C. Lim, president of SM Prime. He noted that nearby dining, shopping and entertainment options help extend the experience beyond the main event while generating additional activity throughout SM properties.

The SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay remained a major contributor to the group’s performance. More than 110 shows were staged at the venue from January through August, representing an increase of up to 20 percent compared with the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the newly opened SM Seaside Cebu Arena quickly established itself as another destination for major entertainment events, beginning with sold-out opening concerts featuring BINI and IV of Spades.

The momentum is continuing toward the end of 2026. SM MOA Arena’s calendar includes sold-out performances by Regine Velasquez, Silent Sanctuary and 5 Seconds of Summer, while tickets are also available for shows by Jason Mraz, Wave to Earth and LE SSERAFIM. Families can also look forward to 34 performances of Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance!

In Cebu, audiences can expect a diverse mix of entertainment and sports, including Bida Sa Arena, Premier Volleyball League and Spikers’ Turf matches, East Asia Super League games, LANY and 14 performances of Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance!

SM Prime is already building momentum for 2027. Announced events include Westlife’s anniversary tour, The Script’s sold-out three-show run, Maroon 5’s Asia 2027 tour and BIGBANG at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Manila.

Cebu will also take on a bigger role in international sports as it prepares to host the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup.

With expanding venues and a growing calendar of local and international events, SM Prime is positioning its live entertainment properties as destinations where music, sports, retail and lifestyle experiences come together.
