Miss International Queen Philippines Anne Patricia Lorenzo-Diaz is crowned as winner at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The SM Mall of Asia Arena transformed into a grand stage of celebration, pride, and empowerment as it hosted the Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 pageant last July 9. Forty-four candidates from across the country gathered not only to vie for the crown but also to honor the diverse beauty and voices within the transgender community. In the end, it was Anne Patricia Lorenzo-Diaz who took home the coveted title and will represent the Philippines in the international finals in Thailand.

Fans roared as the Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 competition lit up the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

This year’s pageant marked a historic first for the SM MOA Arena, as it opened its doors to the country’s largest transgender pageant. Since its founding in 2004, Miss International Queen has stood as a symbol of visibility and acceptance, amplifying calls for LGBTQIA+ rights and raising awareness about the fight against AIDS. Hosting the event highlighted the venue’s commitment to inclusivity and its role in promoting events that celebrate all forms of identity.

Inside the Arena, thousands of supporters arrived dressed in dazzling, expressive outfits—turning the night into a living canvas of confidence, creativity, and pride. Beyond the glitz and glamour, their presence sent a powerful message: beauty truly transcends gender and thrives in authenticity.

Adding to the festive atmosphere were interactive booths scattered around the venue. These booths offered more than just entertainment—they created safe spaces where attendees could explore self-expression, learn more about advocacy efforts, and discover innovative tools that champion self-love and acceptance.

As the show began, returning hosts Sean Kyle Ortega and Jervi Wrightson (popularly known as KaladKaren) energized the Arena with warm humor and heartfelt introductions. Cheers erupted from every corner as the candidates graced the stage, each sharing stories and advocacies aimed at inspiring hope and change, and proving that pageants can also be platforms for purpose.

One of the most moving moments came as Sophia Nicole Arkanghel, Miss International Queen Philippines 2024, took her emotional final walk. With every step, she reflected the strength and grace that had defined her reign. The applause reached its peak when she crowned her successor, Anne Patricia Lorenzo-Diaz, who stepped forward with visible emotion and pride.

Taking her first walk as the new queen, Anne Patricia Lorenzo-Diaz embodied more than beauty—she represented courage, resilience, and the hope of an even more inclusive tomorrow. Her victory symbolized a win for the entire community, reminding everyone in attendance of the power of living one’s truth.

The Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 was staged in partnership with Aquila Crystal Palace Inc., underscoring a shared mission to create events that are as meaningful as they are glamorous. At its heart, the night celebrated more than crowns and sashes—it was a testament to the enduring journey of embracing one’s identity and inspiring others to do the same.
