SM Group extends aid to disaster-hit communities across the Philippines

Continuing its commitment to providing immediate relief to communities affected by disasters, the SM Group, through SM Supermalls, SM Markets, and its social good arm, SM Foundation, has extended aid to various areas hit by fires and floods in recent months.

SM Center Angono distributed over 60 Kalinga Packs to fire victims in Kalayaan Angono, Rizal, early this year, while SM City Puerto Princesa handed over 230 Kalinga Packs to fire victims in the city on February 7.

Similarly, SM City Sta. Mesa provided 250 Kalinga Packs to Brgy. 598, Manila City, fire victims on February 21, and SM City Sucat distributed 238 Kalinga Packs to Brgy. San Isidro, Parañaque, after a fire ravaged the area on February 28.

Amidst the heavy floods that inundated the Davao Region, SM supermalls in Davao distributed more than 3,000 Kalinga Packs to flood-hit communities in the region, extending much-needed aid amidst the challenging time.

Most recently, on March 3, the SM Group also aided and provided Kalinga Packs to fire victims in Brgy. Pandan, Angeles City, Pampanga.

The distribution of the said Kalinga Packs, containing essential items, aims to alleviate the immediate needs of those affected by these calamities. Through these efforts, SM Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to being a partner in nation building, ensuring that care and assistance are extended, particularly during times of crisis.
