SM Foundation Brings Medical Missions to Batangas

Healthcare Outreach in Looc and Ibaan

SM Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the SM Group, recently carried out two successful medical missions in Looc and Ibaan, Batangas.

This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities, benefiting around 700 patients.

Over the course of two days, residents of Looc and Ibaan received a variety of free healthcare services, including medical and dental check-ups, X-rays, and electrocardiograms (ECGs) performed in SM Foundation’s advanced mobile clinic. Additionally, blood chemistry tests and screenings for sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and hemoglobin levels were conducted.

An SM Foundation volunteer doctor was seen attending to a patient during the mission in Ibaan.

The medical team, comprised of doctors, nurses, and volunteers, diligently worked to meet the healthcare needs of the local residents.

This recent medical mission was a collaborative effort involving the Batangas Provincial Office, local government units of Ibaan and Looc, JCI Lipa, MX3 Natural Supplements’ DMIRIE Foundation, the Philippine Dental Association-Lipa City, and BDO Network Bank.

Dr. Bless Bertos, Sr. Project Manager of SM Foundation Health and Medical Programs, was also present, preparing for a minor surgical procedure.
