Sleep Smarter, Live Better: Serta and Our Home Highlight Rest as Wellness Essential

In today’s fast-paced world, sleep is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity for survival, health, and happiness. Recognizing this, global mattress authority Serta and trusted lifestyle retailer Our Home recently unveiled the Perfect Spine Collection at SM Megamall, turning the spotlight on sleep as the foundation of overall well-being.

Far from being just another launch, the event was positioned as a wellness experience. Hosted by Mica Pineda, it brought together medical experts, lifestyle advocates, and brand leaders who emphasized one message: the right sleep environment can transform lives. Guests also enjoyed live music, engaging discussions, and a rare one-day-only sale that made premium rest more accessible.

In her remarks, Gloria Carmino, Senior Assistant Vice President for Marketing at Our Home, reminded the audience that great design is not only about style, but also about how it makes people feel. “With Serta, we’re making world-class comfort part of everyday Filipino living,” she shared.

Sir John Rosagas, Director of RGC Group of Companies, added that the Perfect Spine Collection was carefully designed to deliver spinal support and cooling comfort—features that directly impact health, posture, and daily performance.

The medical perspective came from Dr. John Andrew Ma-Ñang, a respected cardiac surgeon, who explained how sleep deprivation elevates stress hormones and blood pressure, eventually putting the heart at risk. “Better sleep isn’t optional—it’s preventive medicine,” he warned.

Adding relatable perspectives, fitness advocate and actress Ina Raymundo described sleep as her “non-negotiable reset,” while entrepreneur Reza urged guests to treat the bedroom as a sacred rest zone—best complemented by the right mattress.

The event concluded with interactive product demos where attendees tested the collection firsthand, leaving with a renewed understanding that investing in good sleep is investing in life itself.
