As drums thundered and streets pulsed with devotion and dance, BingoPlus once again became part of Cebu’s most powerful tradition—the Sinulog Festival. Marking its third year at the country’s biggest festival, BingoPlus stepped in as co-presenter, weaving music, community, and purpose into a celebration that went far beyond spectacle.

At the heart of its participation was BingoPlus Musikalingawan sa Sinulog 2026, a two-day music and entertainment showcase held at Plaza Independencia on January 17 and 18. The open-air venue transformed into a shared space of sound and storytelling, where festivalgoers gathered not just to watch, but to feel the spirit of Sinulog in full bloom.

Day one opened with a vibrant mix of genres and energies. Cebuano crowds swayed to performances by Kurt Fick and Oh Caraga, sang along with R&B favorite Justin Vasquez, and vibed with the indie pop-rock sounds of Hey June. The following night raised the emotional stakes, led by singer-actor Patrick Quiroz and powerhouse diva Jona. Joining them were beloved voices Sheryn Regis and Jed Madela, whose Filipino classics turned the plaza into one massive sing-along. The celebration closed on a high note with Cebu’s own Kent Villarba, whose performance felt like a homecoming tribute to local pride.

Beyond music, familiar faces added star power and warmth. GMA drama artists Andrea Torres, Michael Sager, and Harlene Budol delighted the crowd with surprise appearances—complete with laughter, fan moments, and a spontaneous budots dance that captured the joyful chaos of Sinulog.

Festivalgoers also enjoyed games and raffle draws, with prizes ranging from premium BingoPlus merchandise and home appliances to a laptop and a brand-new motorcycle—small sparks of excitement that kept the crowd buzzing between performances.

What truly set the celebration apart, however, was its deeper purpose. Through the DigiPlus Foundation, ₱1.5 million worth of recovery assistance was distributed to families and students affected by disasters that struck Cebu City in 2025—turning festivity into tangible hope.

From its electropop-themed float in the Sinulog Grand Parade to its support for communities on the ground, BingoPlus embodied its 2026 theme, “Sidlak”—light. A reminder that even after hardship, Cebuano communities continue to shine brighter, together.
