Last July 7, 2023, MEGA SMASHER Foundation Inc. players Elayssa Morada, Rap Lourenz Onita, Christian Paderon, and Ernesto Evangelista III together with its Chairman and Founder Dave Bedico signed a 2-year contract with Babolat Philippines spearheaded by Asia Trader’s Corporation Vice President Mr. John Christopher Tan and Marketing Manager Ms. Sarah Banquiles as the Official Brand Ambassadors for Badminton and Official Team Babolat Philippines. The contract signing happened in Asiatraders Corporation’s office in Mo. Ignacia St. Quezon City.

MEGA SMASHER Foundation Inc. is known to its advocacy on promoting badminton in the country and help less fortunate players to continue striving for their dreams to become a badminton athlete thru MEGA SMASHER’s Athletic Scholarship Program – a project of MEGA SMASHER Foundation Inc. which aim is to aid players with proper training, equipment and gears that will hone their skills and prepare them for local badminton tournaments. This program has been running for almost 4 years already and is continuously scouting for dedicated and committed badminton players whose dream is to become an athlete someday.

Elayssa Mae Morada, younger sister of the current Badminton RP Team Alvin Morada, is an incoming freshmen student of San Beda University. Elayssa is one of the pioneer club players of MEGA SMASHER but was only given an opportunity to be part of the Athletics Scholarship Program after her try-out for Team Babolat last year. Her recognition as one of the brand ambassadors is very timely as she will compete soon for NCAA.

Rap Lourenz Onita on the other hand is a Physical Therapy student of Our Lady of Fatima – Antipolo. Rap is also an influencer, talent and born athlete. During his junior and senior high, he garnered awards in various badminton tournaments including NCAA. Because of his love to badminton, he explored training club players and became one of the scholar coaches of MEGA SMASHER.

Christian Paderon is a Criminology student of University of Cordilleras. Christian is one of the young competitive badminton players in Baguio City who followed his dream to become an athlete. He travelled to Manila and compete against other players during the try-out of Babolat last year without knowing if where his fate will lead him. After being recognized as one of the Brand Ambassadors, it is a dream come true for him because he became part of the history and milestone of Babolat Philippines.

Ernesto Evangelista III, the youngest player recognized by the brand. At the age of 15, he already showed great performance in badminton and has been representing the City of Valenzuela during Palarong Pambansa and Palaro NCR. Ernesto is one good example of a dreamer that despite the limitation in resources and support in badminton, it did not stop him from achieving his dream to MEGA SMASHER Foundation Inc. become an athlete. Now that he became one of the brand ambassadors, it’s his time to share and inspire other less fortunate dreamers his story on how he reached his goal.

These four newly appointed Brand Ambassadors are proven a good example of an athlete because of their passion, dedication, and commitment in keeping the badminton sport alive not only by participating in local games but also in spreading education to those who wish to learn and are dreaming to become future athletes.

With the help of Babolat Philippines, MEGA SMASHER can now further assist more aspiring players and enhance their game play with all the sponsored equipment that Babolat Philippines provided for MEGA SMASHER Scholarship Program. This also means that MEGA SMASHER will increase the number of scholars in its foundation and influence more players to spread the love in Badminton.
