Season of Light: How DreamWorld Shared the Holidays

When the last holiday lights were taken down and the new year quietly arrived, Hotel DreamWorld paused to look back—not at decorations or parties, but at a season shaped by giving, partnership, and shared purpose.

The heart of this season was the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Balls for a Cause, held at the Hotel DreamWorld North EDSA lobby. The event gathered partners, guests, and members of the media in a night that felt less like a program and more like a community coming together.

Hosted by Ms. Gina Donato, the evening opened with music that set a gentle, joyful tone. The choir of the Quezon City Performing Arts Development Foundation Inc. filled the lobby with familiar holiday harmonies, followed by a violin performance from Tales of Music that added quiet elegance to the celebration.

When the Christmas tree—dressed in white, blue, and gold—was finally lit, the moment went beyond visual beauty. It became a symbol of unity, hope, and shared intention, reminding everyone that the season is brightest when people gather for something meaningful.

That meaning came to life through Christmas Balls for a Cause. Guests were invited to buy Christmas balls, write personal messages, and hang them on the tree. Each ornament, priced at PHP 300 and above, helped raise funds for Bahay Aruga, a free halfway home that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families. Representing Bahay Aruga were Ms. Viana Mata, Corporate Secretary, and Mr. Patrick Mata, Project Manager—both visibly moved by the support shown that night.

The event was guided by the leadership of Hotel DreamWorld, led by Mr. Christian Bona, Corporate Marketing Head. He was joined by Mr. Julian Concepcion, Executive Adviser to the Council; Mr. Cris Andrew Masangcay, Branch Manager of Hotel DreamWorld North EDSA; Mr. Mitch Ocampo, Senior Manager; Mr. Cesar C. Canabal, Sales Head; Ms. Rhea Bombita, Sales Manager; and Ms. Kristen Bitanga, Revenue Reservation Manager—each playing a role in shaping the night.

Industry partners also stood in support, including Mr. Dao Quy Phi of Green and Smart Mobility Philippines Inc. and Ms. Yasmin Vazquez of Allegro Beverages, showing how collaboration across sectors can strengthen community work.

Sponsors such as Afficionado, Van Loveren, CLE Ace Corporation, Jan Patrick International, and Fly Ace Food Service helped turn ideas into action, proving that generosity grows when many hands work together.

With branches in East Ortigas, North EDSA, Araneta Cubao, and Las Piñas, Hotel DreamWorld continues to blend modern comfort with social purpose. As 2026 begins, the hotel carries forward a simple belief: celebrations matter most when they leave kindness behind.
