The sands of Nuvali are set to heat up once again as the Philippines welcomes the Volleyball World 2025 Beach Pro Tour Challenge from October 15 to 19 at the Nuvali Sands Court by Ayala Land in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Headlining the home campaign is the country’s powerhouse duo — Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons — who continue to be the face of Philippine beach volleyball. Joining them in the women’s draw are fellow Filipina pairs Jenny Gaviola and Alexa Polidario, Sunny Villapando and Dij Rodriguez, and Kly Orillaneda and Gen Eslapor. Together, they’ll go head-to-head against a stacked international field featuring 111 teams from across the globe.
The event, organized by the FIVB through Volleyball World and hosted by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) under President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, marks another milestone following the country’s successful hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship last month. “After our world championship hosting, we are thrilled to once again showcase the Philippines’ passion for world-class volleyball,” said Suzara.
In the men’s competition, three Filipino tandems aim to make waves: SEA Games bronze medalists Ran Abdilla and James Buytrago, Ronniel Rosales and Rancel Varga, and Edwin Tolentino with Larry John Francisco. They’ll face elite challengers led by defending champions Jacob Holting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson of Sweden, alongside Rio de Janeiro leg winners and English brothers Javier and Joaquin Bello.
Meanwhile, the women’s division boasts 46 teams from 15 countries, highlighted by reigning champions Toni Rodriguez and Molly Shaw of the United States. With top-tier talent and homegrown pride colliding, the Beach Pro Tour Challenge in Nuvali promises to be a spectacle of skill, sun, and spirit.
