SM Prime Holdings, Inc. recently inked its partnership with the Municipality of Rosario, Cavite in its program entitled Resbakunado Tayo, Mga Taga Rosario! From March 29 onwards, SM City Rosario will serve as the official venue partner of the LGU’s vaccination drive against COVID-19, the first mall in the province of Cavite to have an actual run.

SM City Rosario’s spacious Cinema hallway will be temporarily repurposed to cater to the vaccination activity.

“With its convenient location, accessibility, well-ventilated space, and strong safety protocols in place, SM was the top venue choice in holding the vaccination program,” says Dr. Noriel C. Emelo, Rosario Cavite’s Municipal Health Officer.

Present during the signing of the confirmation of activity are Hon. Municipal Mayor Jose “Voltaire” Ricafrente III, Dr. Nelson Soriano, Provincial Health Officer I, Dr. Lorenzito Atangan, Medical Officer III – RHU, Ms. Lorenza Serafica, RN, MAN, PhD, Provincial Health Team Leader from the Department of Health – Cavite, Engr. John Jason Terrenal, SAVP for SM Supermalls – South Region, and Ms. Roxanne M. Pangilinan, SM City Rosario Mall Manager.

SM will continue to offer our malls as a venue partner for Local Government Units nationwide to help speed up the process of vaccination. We started this in Rosario, Cavite but expect our counterparts in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to replicate and extend the same support to their respective cities and municipalities,” says Engr. John Jason Terrenal, SAVP for SM Supermalls – South Region.

The vaccination rollout will prioritize health workers, front liners, senior citizens, and indigents as identified by the DSWD. There are 12,000 recipients from this sector that are expected to receive their initial vaccines.

To help curb the spread of COVID-19 and keep its customers safe, SM Supermalls continues to do its part by strengthening its safety protocols.  SM has also launched Trace Together, a nationwide end-to-end contact tracing solution that is compliant with government and data privacy guidelines.
