Redefining Color Reality: LG Micro RGB evo Ushers in a New Era of LCD Excellence

At CES 2026, LG Electronics is once again reshaping the future of home entertainment with the debut of its first flagship RGB television—the LG Micro RGB evo. Recognized as a CES 2026 Innovation Awards honoree, this breakthrough display represents LG’s most advanced LCD TV to date, pushing color accuracy, processing intelligence, and viewing immersion to unprecedented levels.

What sets the LG Micro RGB evo apart is its revolutionary Micro RGB Technology, which replaces traditional MiniLED approaches with LG’s smallest individual RGB LEDs. Guided by OLED-level precision, each RGB backlight is independently controlled—bringing over a decade of LG OLED expertise into the RGB LCD category. The result is a display that combines the brightness strengths of LCD with the refined control long associated with OLED.

Powering this leap forward is the newly upgraded α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, equipped with a Dual AI Engine. This advanced processor introduces Dual Super Upscaling, enabling the TV to simultaneously analyze and enhance different image elements. Fine details are sharpened, textures feel more natural, and scenes appear balanced and lifelike—delivering clarity that draws viewers deeper into every frame.

At the heart of the visual experience is RGB Primary Color Ultra, LG’s latest color innovation. This technology allows the Micro RGB evo to reproduce the full spectrum of visible color with remarkable accuracy. Certified by Intertek, the display achieves 100 percent color gamut coverage across BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB—the highest standard for color reproduction today. Whether watching HDR films, gaming, or working on professional-grade visual content, users experience colors exactly as creators intended.

Contrast performance reaches new heights through Micro Dimming Ultra, which precisely manages over a thousand dimming zones. This granular control allows the TV to reveal subtle details in shadows while maintaining vivid brightness in highlights, delivering one of the most refined contrast performances available in an LCD display.

Beyond visuals, LG enhances the overall experience through its award-winning webOS platform. Personalized features such as Voice ID, AI Picture and Sound Wizard, and a customized “My Page” home screen adapt the TV to each user. AI Concierge, AI Chatbot, and AI Search further simplify content discovery, making entertainment more intuitive than ever.

Available in 100-inch, 86-inch, and 75-inch models, the LG Micro RGB evo (MRGB95) will be showcased at LG’s CES 2026 booth from January 6 to 9—offering a firsthand look at how LG is redefining what LCD technology can achieve.
