As the need for emergency preparedness continues to grow, Bell-Kenz Pharma is expanding its efforts to bring life-saving knowledge closer to communities. Strengthening this commitment, the company recently partnered with the Quezon City Government through the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO), making Quezon City the first local government unit in Metro Manila to officially join the Sagip CPR campaign.

The collaboration highlights a shared goal of promoting public health awareness and equipping more Filipinos with practical skills that can make a difference during critical situations. Through the partnership, residents and participants gained access to Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training, helping them become more prepared to respond effectively during cardiac emergencies.

The launch activity gathered community members and stakeholders for an intensive learning session that focused on the importance of immediate intervention during cardiac arrest. Participants were trained on proper CPR techniques and AED use, skills that can significantly improve survival rates while waiting for professional medical assistance to arrive.

For Bell-Kenz Pharma, the initiative reflects its broader mission of improving healthcare awareness beyond medicines and treatment. As the company marks its 20th year in the healthcare industry, it continues to invest in programs that empower communities through education, prevention, and preparedness.

According to Patrick Larraga, Corporate Branding and Public Affairs Head of Bell-Kenz Pharma, the partnership demonstrates the importance of collaboration in building safer communities. He noted that Quezon City’s proactive approach to disaster preparedness and public health makes it an ideal partner in expanding the reach of the Sagip CPR campaign across Metro Manila.

Ms. Bianca D. Perez, Head of QCDRRMO also welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that CPR and AED training play a vital role in strengthening community resilience. By incorporating these life-saving skills into existing disaster risk reduction programs, the city aims to create a population that is better equipped to respond during emergencies.

The partnership serves as another step forward in Bell-Kenz Pharma’s advocacy of making life-saving education more accessible to Filipinos. Through continued collaboration with local governments, institutions, and community organizations, the company hopes to train more individuals nationwide and foster a culture where preparedness and quick action can help save lives.
