SM Leisure Resort and Residences (SM LRR), a division of SM Prime Holdings, Inc., has reached a major milestone with the topping-off of Pico Terraces, a P2-billion high-end residential condominium located in Pico de Loro Cove, within the Hamilo Coast development in Batangas. The ceremonial event on April 3 marks a significant step in SM Prime’s ongoing investment in the luxury leisure market.
The event brought together key executives including Shirley C. Ong, Executive Vice President and Business Unit Head of SM LRR; Imee Francisco, Senior Vice President of Costa del Hamilo, Inc.; Kaye Frio, Senior Assistant Vice President for Project Development; Harvey T. Sy, Head of Technical and Project Planning and Design; and Zenia Sy, Head of Sales.
According to Ong, the consistent demand for premium leisure properties outside the metro reflects a shift in how Filipinos view lifestyle and investment. “Pico Terraces is our response to this evolving mindset. It’s more than a second home—it’s a lasting legacy that promotes wellness, connection with nature, and elevated living.”
Pico Terraces features 211 condominium units split between the Ardea Suites and Balea Suites, offering flexible one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. Ardea Suites is expected to be completed by early 2027, while Balea Suites will follow by the end of the same year.
Designed to be a sanctuary, the development will offer amenities such as a 500-square-meter cascading pool, fully equipped indoor and outdoor fitness areas, a spacious clubhouse, and a landscaped grand lawn—all thoughtfully integrated to foster relaxation and leisure.
“Our goal was to create a space where everything you need for a resort-like escape is already within reach,” Ong said. “Leaving the property should only be for a walk on the sand.”
Homeowners will also enjoy access to the exclusive Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club. Situated within the Hamilo Coast, the resort lies in the Coral Triangle—a vital marine biodiversity zone that contains over three-quarters of the world’s coral species and more than a third of its coral reef fish.
As construction progresses, Pico Terraces stands as a testament to SM LRR’s continued push to redefine coastal living in the Philippines.
