ONE MAP: Redefining the Future of Philippine Marketing

The Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) is preparing to usher in a new chapter for the marketing profession as it unveils the 55th Annual Marketing Conference, a landmark gathering that aims to transform how marketers learn, adapt, and lead in an increasingly complex business environment.

Scheduled on September 23, 2026, at the Hilton Manila in Newport World Resorts, the conference carries the theme ONE MAP (Omni Network Ecosystem Marketing Agility Protocol)—a framework designed to help organizations navigate constant change while building sustainable growth. An extended hybrid and on-demand program will continue from September through November, allowing participants from across the country and the region to engage with the conference beyond the main event.

At the heart of this year’s conference is a vision that goes beyond traditional seminars and keynote presentations. PMA positions ONE MAP as a practical roadmap for marketers who must operate in a world shaped by artificial intelligence, evolving consumer behaviors, digital communities, and rapidly shifting market conditions.

During the official media launch held at Hilton Manila on June 24, PMA leaders described ONE MAP as a learning ecosystem that encourages professionals to move from simply gathering information to creating meaningful business impact.

The framework is divided into two major components. The first, O.N.E., stands for Omni Network Ecosystem, highlighting the importance of integrating multiple channels, platforms, partnerships, and communities into a connected customer experience. Rather than treating marketing touchpoints separately, the ecosystem approach encourages brands to build long-term engagement where every interaction strengthens the overall relationship with consumers.

The second component, M.A.P., or Marketing Agility Protocol, focuses on helping organizations respond effectively to uncertainty. It emphasizes strategic marketing, adaptability, and structured processes that allow businesses to react quickly while maintaining consistency and direction.

According to PMA President and CEO Mitch Ballesteros, the conference reflects the organization’s broader 2026 theme of “ONENESS,” emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and action-oriented learning. She described ONE MAP as a movement designed to equip professionals with the mindset and tools needed to thrive in the future of marketing.

This year’s conference also introduces a unique leadership structure. For the first time, two members of PMA’s Board of Directors are jointly leading the flagship event. Cha Pestano-Diaz and Adolf Aran Jr. will spearhead the conference, supported by overall Chairperson Greg Banzon of Century Pacific Food, Inc.

Participants can expect a rich and immersive experience built around six major engagement pillars: Meet Up Day, Digital Experience, Business Networking, Featured Company Visits, Fellowship Gala, and the Marketing Gambit Cup. Together, these components aim to create a holistic learning journey that blends education, collaboration, and real-world application.

The conference program itself will explore critical topics shaping modern marketing. Sessions will tackle AI-driven consumer journeys, creator economies, retail-media partnerships, loyalty-building strategies, growth under budget constraints, organizational agility, and crisis-response frameworks. A live simulation will even challenge industry experts to apply the ONE MAP methodology in real time, demonstrating how agile decision-making works in practice.

Perhaps the most innovative aspect of the conference is the Marketing Gambit Cup, which serves as the culminating challenge of the ONE MAP experience. Instead of ending with lectures and discussions, delegates will be tasked with developing actionable Marketing Agility and Business Resiliency Plans based on actual business cases provided by partner organizations.

The initiative transforms participants from passive learners into active problem-solvers, encouraging them to apply newly acquired insights to real-world challenges. Winning teams will receive scholarship grants for the Marketing Professional Certification Review Program of the Marketing Institute of the Philippines, helping them continue their professional development journey.

As PMA celebrates the milestone of its 55th Annual Marketing Conference, ONE MAP signals a bold evolution in professional learning—one that empowers marketers not only to adapt to change, but to become the driving force behind it.
