‘No Transferring’ for Health, Wellness

Kuya Kim Atienza shares long-time secret to Live More, Do More in Life

For years, he has been known for so many things—a versatile host, a weatherman, and the country’s favorite “Kuya,” who always has exciting stories and trivia to tell.

Indeed, Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza has become a household name and one of the most iconic televisions and new media personalities in the country. His career flourishes as he embraces a new chapter and joins GMA Network’s News and Public Affairs.

But aside from being a well-known personality, he is also a triathlete and a health and wellness advocate. He recently renewed his contract with Santé, a premier natural, and organic health and wellness product and services provider.

“It’s been 12 years since I’ve been with the company as their face and spokesperson in social media, TV, and other platforms. In those years, Santé has also been a part of my life and family. Whatever network I’m in, the one constant thing in my life would be Santé, and I will always be with Santé. I look forward to more years of this partnership,” he said.

Kuya Kim added that he considers it an honor to represent Santé as he shares the same commitment of encouraging people to lead better lives. “I was with them when the company was starting. Now that the company has grown and become successful, and I’m still a part of them, it creates a strong emotional attachment,” he said.

‘A Wake-Up Call’

Kuya Kim’s passion for advocating health and wellness started after he suffered from a stroke in 2010. At that time, he was afraid of it happening again. That is why it gave him a wake-up call to lead a better and healthier lifestyle. In 2013, however, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Guillain-Barré Syndrome, causing him to be paralyzed and lose some of his reflexes.

After recovering and regaining his full strength, Kuya Kim realized that he needed to strengthen his immune system to avoid being immunocompromised. He said that taking Santé products, especially Santé Barley, after learning its health benefits, helped him not only recover from illness, but it’s his secret in maintaining a healthier lifestyle to live more and do more.

“For athletes like me, our immune system can get very low, especially if the training is strenuous. I fell sick a couple of times in the past since I was immunocompromised. Now, as I lead a healthy lifestyle, it is important for me that my immune system is strengthened – something that Santé Barley has helped me with,” he explained.

‘Helping Boost the Immune System’

Santé Barley, the company’s flagship product, is an effective antioxidant composed of pure organic barley grass. It consists of rich vitamins and minerals that detoxify the body and aid digestive health.

A glass of Santé Barley fortifies the body with zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron, B-vitamins, Vitamin C, Chlorophyll, and carotenoids, which are essential for giving the immune system an extra boost, especially amid the new normal. The healthy goodness of Santé Barley is certified organic by New Zealand’s renowned organic produce and products organization, BioGro.

“Coupled with good exercise and diet, the more we drink Santé Barley, the better we can help strengthen our immune system, especially in this new normal,” Kuya Kim remarked.

Meanwhile, Joey Marcelo, CEO of Santé, expressed his excitement for Kuya Kim’s new endeavors and emphasized his importance to Santé as he embodies what the brand truly represents.

“We are extremely pleased to forge stronger ties with him as he renews his contract with us. As our brand ambassador, we hope that he will be the extension of our company by serving as a channel in helping people lead comfortable and healthy lives,” Marcelo added.
