The recognition marks MR.DIY’s first-ever participation in the distinguished awards program, which honors the nation’s most exceptional business leaders and organizations. Under her leadership, MR.DIY has broken barriers through initiatives such as gender-neutral hiring in warehouse operations, the Store Internship for Special Learners—which provides retail training to individuals on the autism spectrum—and the shift to 100% renewable energy in its distribution centers, reducing emissions by 34% annually.

These achievements are built on the strength of our people,” Andaya shared. “This recognition is not mine alone—it belongs to every member of the MR.DIY family who believes in our mission to make everyday living simple, joyful, and complete. True leadership is about lifting others and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.”

Beyond her individual accolade, MR.DIY Philippines was also included in the Circle of Excellence Awards for Woman Leader of the Year and Diversity Company of the Year, underscoring its commitment to inclusive growth. The company’s pioneering Store Internship for Neurodiverse Learners, developed with Candent Learning Haus and Marvelous Minds Tutorial Center, continues to champion equal opportunities in the workplace.

Inclusion, for us, is not a one-time goal but a continuous journey of growth and empathy,” said Atty. Suzie Cu, Head of Legal, Compliance, and Sustainability at MR.DIY Philippines. “It’s about ensuring every individual, regardless of background or ability, feels valued and empowered.”

Through Andaya’s visionary leadership, MR.DIY redefines modern retail—proving that business success and social responsibility can thrive hand in hand.
