Across the country, thousands of Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises share the same challenge: how to move their products faster, farther, and more efficiently in an increasingly competitive market. From rural producers looking to reach urban buyers to growing brands seeking national distribution, logistics often becomes the deciding factor between staying small and scaling up.

This reality sits at the heart of the newly formalized partnership between 2GO Group, Inc. and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Through a Memorandum of Agreement signed in January, 2GO officially joins the DTI’s Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC), reinforcing a shared mission to strengthen MSME competitiveness through smarter, more accessible logistics support.

The collaboration positions 2GO as part of DTI’s trusted logistics network, expanding its role beyond transport and delivery. MSMEs registered with DTI will now have access to logistics consultancy and advisory services—practical guidance that helps businesses streamline operations, cut costs, and design supply chain solutions aligned with their scale and goals. For many small entrepreneurs, this kind of expertise is often out of reach, yet essential for growth.

DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque emphasized that reliable logistics is not a luxury, but a necessity for MSMEs aiming to expand sustainably. By working with experienced private-sector partners like 2GO, the department strengthens its ability to respond to diverse operational needs—whether a business is shipping within a province or reaching customers nationwide.

On the ground, the partnership will take shape through concrete initiatives. 2GO will support SCLC programs by participating in business matching and market linkage activities, providing logistics consultancy, and helping establish Logistics Support Desks in selected Negosyo Centers. These touchpoints bring logistics advice closer to entrepreneurs, turning what was once a complex hurdle into a manageable step forward.

For 2GO, the agreement reflects its broader role in national development. As a company that moves goods and people across the archipelago, it also moves opportunities—connecting livelihoods, markets, and communities. Efficient logistics, the company believes, creates real impact: stronger businesses, more resilient supply chains, and inclusive economic growth.

Together, DTI and 2GO are laying down more than routes and networks. They are building a foundation that allows Filipino MSMEs to grow with confidence, knowing that the path from production to market is no longer a barrier, but a bridge.
