In a luminous ceremony, European Union Ambassador Luc Veron and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Theresa Lazaro, alongside SM Supermalls President Steven Tan, orchestrated the dazzling lighting of the 60th-anniversary logo at the SM Mall of Asia Globe.

This spectacular event marked the commencement of the EU’s year-long celebration of its enduring diplomatic ties with the Philippines.

The iconic landmark’s radiant glow echoed the unity and collaboration witnessed by Ambassadors and officials from EU Member States’ Embassies and the Department of Foreign Affairs. The symbolic illumination heralds a milestone in the shared history and partnership between the EU and the Philippines.
