Marking 55 Years of Singapore-Philippines Relations at SM

Singapore’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Constance See, recently led the ceremonial lighting of the MOA Globe to celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and the Philippines.

Ambassador See was joined by her spouse, Mr. Max Lim, and SM Supermalls President Steven Tan during the event. The iconic landmark displayed a commemorative logo, symbolizing the deep and lasting friendship between the two nations.

Singapore Ambassador Constance See said “I am thrilled to see the iconic SM MOA Globe illuminated with the colors and symbols of our two nations. This is a meaningful and timely tribute as we celebrate Singapore’s 59th National Day and the 55th anniversary of the strong and enduring partnership between Singapore and the Philippines. For over five decades, our two countries have collaborated and supported each other in ways that have brought tremendous benefits to our peoples. The Singapore Embassy is delighted to partner with SM Supermalls, which has played a key role in bringing Singaporean lifestyle brands to Filipino consumers, further strengthening the bond between our nations.”
