Manila Fashion Week Sets the Stage for Filipino Talent

This October, the spotlight returns to Bonifacio Global City as Manila Fashion Week (MNLFW) debuts under its bold new identity. Formerly known as BYS Fashion Week, the reimagined platform now carries a name that embodies the country’s capital while positioning the Philippines as a global fashion contender.

From BYS to Manila Fashion Week

What started as BYS Fashion Week quickly grew into one of the country’s most influential fashion showcases. Known for its fearless collaborations and trend-setting presentations, the event nurtured a space where veteran designers and rising brands could meet, experiment, and shine.

With its rebrand, Manila Fashion Week takes that legacy further—emphasizing not just innovation, but the elevation of Filipino artistry to the world stage.

2025 Edition: A Designer Powerhouse

From October 16–19, 2025, MNLFW unfolds at SM Aura, featuring some of the most dynamic voices in Philippine fashion. The roster includes Andrea Tetangco, Chris Nick, Viña Romero, Randolf, Viktor, Don’t Blame the Kids (DBTK), OXGN, and Íñigo, among others. Each designer brings a unique perspective, promising a showcase that blends Filipino identity with global appeal. With the country’s top celebrities, influencers, and media expected to flock to the shows, this edition is set to be one of the most star-studded gatherings yet.

A Vision for the Future

Spearheading this transformation is founder John Lozano, who envisions MNLFW as more than a series of runway shows. For him, it’s a movement that amplifies Filipino creativity and provides local designers with a launchpad to the international scene. “There’s so much talent here, but not enough avenues to highlight them,” Lozano notes. “Manila Fashion Week aims to be that platform—for Filipinos to tell their stories and show the world what we can do.”
