LG Electronics is redefining in-room entertainment with the launch of its Google Cast-integrated hotel TVs at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, the premier audiovisual and systems integration exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 4-7. This latest innovation enhances the hotel experience by allowing guests to seamlessly stream their favorite content from their personal devices to LG Hotel TVs, reinforcing LG’s position as a leader in the hospitality TV industry.
Starting January 10, LG Hotel TVs running webOS23 or later will support Google Cast with dedicated hotel-specific features. The integration ensures privacy and security through network isolation, preventing cross-room access to streaming data. Guests can connect their devices effortlessly by scanning a QR code displayed on the TV screen, eliminating the need to log in manually to streaming apps. The connection remains active throughout the guest’s stay and is automatically erased upon check-out, providing a secure, hassle-free streaming experience.
LG has been at the forefront of hospitality-focused innovations, previously introducing the world’s first hotel TV with AirPlay in 2023, which rolled out globally in 2024. With the addition of Google Cast, LG now becomes the first brand to offer both AirPlay and Google Cast on hotel TVs, ensuring ultimate convenience for guests. Alongside its Pro:Centric management solution, which allows hotel operators to customize in-room content, LG continues to provide tailored solutions that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
The introduction of Google Cast integration has garnered industry recognition, with Tiger Lan, senior director of engineering for multi-device experiences at Google, stating: “LG Hotel TVs with Google Cast will deliver a seamless entertainment experience for guests. We’re excited to see LG bringing this seamless casting integration to the hospitality industry, providing travelers with the familiar comforts of home while on the go.”
Visitors at ISE 2025 can experience LG’s Google Cast-enabled Hotel TVs firsthand at LG’s booth, which features an immersive hospitality-themed exhibition space, “Transforming Stays into Memorable Hospitality Experiences.” With continued innovation and expansion in the B2B hospitality sector, LG remains dedicated to shaping the future of in-room entertainment.
