As classrooms evolve alongside technology, preparing students for success now means addressing both academic needs and digital realities. At Kapt. H. Francisco School in Taguig, this vision came to life as Globe Coop rolled out its Back-to-School Program—an initiative designed to strengthen learning while promoting responsible digital citizenship.
Through the Globe CoopCAREavan, an employee-led outreach program, Globe Coop supported 100 students with school kits containing bags, supplies, and lunch essentials—simple yet meaningful tools that help learners begin the school year with confidence. The CAREavan reflects Globe’s broader commitment to uplifting communities nationwide, reaching groups such as students, out-of-school youth, fisherfolk, indigenous communities, and other vulnerable sectors through localized initiatives led by regional teams.
Beyond school supplies, the program addressed the growing importance of digital access in education. Globe Coop upgraded the school’s computer laboratory, giving students improved access to online learning platforms and digital resources. This enhancement supports blended learning approaches, helping students build digital skills alongside traditional classroom instruction and ensuring they are not left behind in an increasingly connected learning environment.
Equally vital was the Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP), which introduced students to essential lessons on cyber safety, online responsibility, and respectful digital behavior. Through interactive discussions, learners gained practical knowledge on avoiding cyberbullying, protecting personal information, and using technology in positive, productive ways.
“Education today goes beyond books and classrooms,” said Business Head Bam de Guzman. “By providing both tools and guidance, we help students grow academically while becoming responsible digital citizens.”
School Principal Joventino P. Bajar echoed this sentiment, noting that the combined support—from learning materials to cyber safety workshops—has empowered students to navigate both schoolwork and the online world with greater confidence.
Globe Coop’s Back-to-School Program at Kapt. H. Francisco School highlights how meaningful impact is created when education, technology, and digital responsibility move forward together—preparing students not just for exams, but for life in a digital age.
